We purchased a laptop from Neil a few years ago and received a superb service, so I knew he was the man for the job when my son asked for a desktop Pc. Neil explained all we needed to know and gave some excellent advice and tips. Within 10 days our sons Pc was up and running, Neil built the Pc and then installed at a time that suited us, fantastic service. Will most definitely recommend Home Computer Services to family and Friends.

As a retired couple and I being registered severely sight impaired, the computer has never been used with great confidence. But Neil has brought to us that self-assurance and level-headedness to cope with the IT world of today. Making changes and up dates over the years to accommodate my deteriorating sight has been carried out with an expertise which has been so appreciated. Neil's confidence, patience and understanding are the most valuable items users of Home Computer Services are buying. The technical knowhow is pretty good too!

Many thanks for the prompt response to this and my earlier quires.
I was very please with the initial visit when you sorted out the Laptop. You didn't blind me with computer speak, were very quick, professional and with reasonable charges. What more could I ask!

Windows 10 upgrade. The story so far ! ( UPDATED 29/08/2015 )
With the first full week of Windows 10 upgrades under my belt and can honestly say that it has gone as expected.
With no real issues that cant be put right it proving to be a complete success. Here are some of the issues I have found but I have of course put right and any recommendations needed.

With no real issues that cant be put right it proving to be a complete success. Here are some of the issues I have found but I have of course put right and any recommendations needed.
- Printer / Scanner drivers / communications lost
- Unable to send emails after upgrade in outlook
- Slow start up and show downs due to further updates
- Loss of small data files ( always back up first )
- A small amount of pc's cannot be upgraded but it states that your upgrade is ready
- More memory is a must if you are running below 3gig
- Edge favourites cant be organised as yet
- The world's ' favourite ' virus programmes causing the update to fail or crash
- Possible problems with SD cards and camera's causing problems with importing pictures ( updated 23/08/2015 I have yet to find this a problem on the pc's I have revisited )
- Some older programmes that run in 8 not running in 10 ( can usually be made to work )
- A few people saying that the layout has changed from a Windows 8 / 8.1 computer that I had worked on ( upon a revisit its the colour of the task bar that has changed )
- Duplicates of photos displayed in Picasa ( these are just the backup created to protect your original pictures )
- Some Windows upgrades cannot be done in your home if your speed of broadband is slow.
- A loss of sound on a few Pc's ( these just need reinstalling and is now checked at my office )
- Windows games no longer available in the traditional way. You either must sign up for a Microsoft account or simply search for Solitaire etc to play online.
- Loss of contact in Windows mail not coming over from Windows 8.1
